Nenagh Celtic 6 - Kilcommon/Rearcross FC U-14's 0

A depleted Kilcommon/Rearcross U-14 team were away to Nenagh Celtic on Saturday morning and lost out on a 6-0 score line at the Nenagh college venue. The visiting side missing a number of players made a lively enough start but were unable to penetrate the Celtic rearguard to any real extent. Nenagh Celtic opened their account on 18 minutes when Brian McEvoy broke on the right before prodding inside the near upright. It was two nil to the hosts when Brian McEvoy finished from in front of goals with claims for offside going unheard. An in-form Brian McEvoy completed his hat-trick shortly before the break after finishing from just inside the box. The Slieve Felim side tried hard to get back in to the tie at the start of the second period with Nathan Griffin denying Cormac Sheehy and Eoin Sheldon. The game was over as a contest after Ryan Gleeson got on the scoresheet and then Ryan Gleeson was on the mark again to stretch it to five nil. Jamie Donnellan completed the rout near the end to leave Nenagh Celtic with a comprehensive win on the day. Thanks to U-12 player Cathal Dervan who stayed back to make up eleven for the visiting side.
